Our Story
Supercharging Nonprofits Through Innovative Financial Services
Founded in 2016 by Stephen Garten, Charity Charge began as a simple idea—to make charitable giving easier. What started as an innovative credit card designed for good has evolved into a comprehensive financial platform built exclusively for nonprofits, schools, religious organizations, and associations.
Today, we proudly serve over 3,000 mission-driven organizations nationwide, from local grassroots groups to large national networks. Our platform empowers nonprofits to manage spending, streamline operations, and grow with confidence—all while staying focused on their mission.
As a social enterprise, Charity Charge exists to champion nonprofits and build a stronger, more financially resilient sector. We design every program with nonprofits in mind, offering tools like our flagship Nonprofit Credit Card, bookkeeping and accounting services, and gift card solutions—all through one membership.
